Gourmet Farm - The Dining RoomWednesday, April 29, 2015
The Dining Room at Gourmet Farms is located along the Gen. E. Aguinaldo Highway of Silang, Cavite, which is just five minutes away from the Tagaytay Rotonda. With its Mediterranean vibe, the signature white structure and its blue dome which resembles some famous structures in Greece, you will surely love the place just by looking at it. Selfie/Groufie friendly. hehe. And of course, you will love the most the food offered here.
The venue has a comfortable seating capacity of 150 guests in its main dining area. The place has a mobile stage, its own kitchen and bar, private function rooms, separate sound room, restroom facilities and covered verandas, one of which opens up to a lush Al fresco garden. The Al fresco area can accommodate a maximum of 400 guests. You will be attended to by the trained catering staff of Gourmet Farms and served with an array of meals from their Filipino and International Menus.
As this another food journey started, Gourmet Farm shared to us the best sellers in their menu which we got to taste, eat and review. So here they are...
Unli-Salad - The main attraction of the buffet is always its bottomless salad bowl which is organically grown in their 'backyard' (The Gourmet Farm).
Here's what I made for myself ( but I just regretted that I had put so much urugula, it's kinda bitter if it's the right term but overall, I love this Bottom Less Salad Buffet):
Pumpkin Soup - very delicious, thick, and creamy.
Baked Salmon - it is well-cooked, I love how the tomato sauce blends well to it.
Grilled Tuna in Chumichiri Sauce - the juicy tuna is perfectly combined with the sauce and the marble potatoes.
Beef Pot Roast - this one if my favorite among the dishes served, the beef meat is very soft, chewy, well-cooked that perfectly blend with the sauce and the mashed potato(i looove mashed potato).
Lamb Stew with Couscous - everything is very tasty, the couscous is delicious too which I can alter to rice.
Greek Nachos - in-house lettuce chips in tzatziki and salsa sauce. YUMMEH!
Pasta Al Funghi - their carbonara. I love how plenty the serving is. This one can already fill your empty tummy with satisfaction.
Signature Pizza - very healthy and sumptuous pizza made up of zucchini, shrimp, prosciutto with parmesan cheese on a thin crust.
We also got to try their Banaba Iced Tea but unfortunately, I haven't took a picture of it since it was given after the farm tour. I was really thirsty. It was a good thirst quencher.
Banaba is an herbal medicine that helps cure diabetes and kidney inflammation. It can also help in weight-loss and is also a metabolic enhancer.
Espresso Panna Cotta - another dessert that I'm putting on the pedestal, not your usual panna cotta.
Yeoja Verdict: I surely love everything in The Dining Room. The style, the food, the people. I will surely comeback to dine with some friends and family. Even suggest it to everybody who wanna experience dining in a different level. hehe <3
