Makeup Diary 101: Cutting Edges

I never thought that I would wanted to become a makeup artist someday. I didn't even know before that such profession exists. I started my makeup journey when I was in first year high school, I started to put on black eyeliner on my lids.
Then someone scold me and said like this "ayan na nagsimula na sa eyeliner, tapos lipstick... and so on, malandi." Well, I don't care at all. Maybe she's just jealous or what.

And yes, finally when I was in my senior year in high school, I started to do the eye makeup and everything. Through the influence of japanese(anime) and korean(kpop) culture, I've become more interested about makeup. I watched youtube tutorials and started to do it in myself. It's known as gyaru and ulzzang makeup which will make your eyes bigger and look dolly.

And now, as years passed by... I've become more knowledgeable about makeup with the help of internet and attending some beauty seminars. I also being able to become a makeup artist of my own self which I also shared with my friends, family, and classmates at school(as a university student).

Last September 7, I've become brave enough and joined a makeup contest by BDJ Box featuring Max Factor Ph, search for the next Max Factor Junior Makeup Artist. You just need to send your before and after look and your best makeup tip. They will be choosing 16 girls who will have an exclusive seminar with Kat Garcia and the two winners last year. And from the 16 girls, they will be choosing the two winners. He'res the link of BDJ Box's post about the contest.

I wanted to share my entry to you all, since friends liked it, hoping that you'll like it too.

(this one is actually during, hehe.)

Best makeup application tip:
To make the color/s of the eye shadow look vibrant, use white eyeliner as a base and cover your entire lid before applying your desired colors of eye shadow. Using a white base will make the colors pop out. Be creative. Use your imagination. Don't be afraid to try out new things.

What do you think about my look?

So yesterday, the winners were announced. And guess what, I'm not one them. And I'm kinda feel disappointed with a pinch of bitterness. But then again, it made me realize that it's not yet my time, so I'm fine. hehe.

Btw, here are the 16 lucky bellas who will have an exclusive workshop on cutting edge of makeup artistry with Kat Garcia, to be assisted by the previous winners, Pauline and Shirline at the BDJ Box Beauty Social: #CampGorgeous on September 14, congratulations!
