Kat's Cafe - Robinsons Place, Las Piñas

As I started exploring south I may say that living in there is surely a great thing because of the perks like fresher air, good places to chill in, new restaurants to try on, etc. And recently, I've been to Las Piñas and given a chance to visit one of the must-try a gastronomic place in the area. Kat's Cafe is located at the ground floor of Robinsons Place Las Piñas owned by Chef Kat. This cutesy cafe is not that big (can house around 30-50 persons max including the outdoor seating) but cozy and relaxing. Aside from the simple cutely-decorated homey interior that makes you feel like staying there for good, you will never forget their clean "hidden toilet" which is behind a bookshelf that serves as its door, really cool.

Mango Pistachio, Classic Red Velvet, & Cheesecake Crumble
2nd Row (from left to right)
Cookie Dough, Death by Chocolate, & Oreo

Kat's Cafe offers surprisingly good cupcakes (the best I've ever tasted so far.) Though the choices are limited like eight to fifteen varieties only but their cupcakes are unique from one another which made it special. Each of the cupcakes is specially made with distinct flavors, texture and not overly sweet at all unlike the usual. What I love the most with their cupcakes is the price –imagine that you'll get to eat a very yummy cupcake with a price ranges from Php 85.00 to Php 100.00 only, isn't fantastic? A lot cheaper than its competitors. I guarantee you that it is worth a try and I can say that their cuppies are much better than others that is tagged around Php 150.00.

The other thing that you shouldn't miss when you visit Kat's Cafe is their oh-so-yummy cream puff! This is best cream puff for me because it's not too sweet and very generous filling ~ yummeh!

Aside from pastries, the cafe also serves pastas, sammiches, non-coffee, delightfully cold specialties (frappes) to caffeinated specialty drinks though it's bit pricey for the serving (of pastas.) I've tried three of their pastas and they are really good. Chef Kat is an advocate of healthy lifestyle if you're on a diet too haha!) so you don't need to worry. The pastas are delicious, light, not greasy at all and the ingredients are fresh.

Kat's Aglio Olio - Php 235.00
capellini + spanish sardines + evoo
Pancetta Carbonara - Php 230.00
linguine + premium smoked pancetta + egg
Quattro Formaggi - Php 240.00
rigatoni + 4 kinds of cheese + tomato cream
Miss Piggy (her milkshake brings all the boys in the yard) - Php 185.00
This is a milkshake frappe with bacon bits. I actually find the taste weird but it's good.

I also got to try the specialty blended drink: Smores - Php 185.00
I like it much (i don't have a picture of it though)
The area where it is situated is not crowded so as the cafe so it's quiet. Perfect for those people who just want to chill and hangout, have some coffee, catch up with friends etc. They also have a nice WiFi connection and outlets near the tables which is perfect for those people who need to work, study or charge their gadgets. So if you're a student from nearby school, a professional on break, a person who needs to unwind or just having a sweet-tooth attack... don't forget to drop-by and try Kat's Cafe.
