Best Places to Stay in Puerto Princesa

The first thing we secure when we travel is where are we going to stay. It depends where do we want or what kind of stay we want, it could be luxurious or kind of adventurous like camping. And in my recent trips to Palawan, I've stayed in glamour and exciting places which made me realized of what style I want in a staycation - well, depends on the setup or situation rather.

Since Puerto Princesa is the main city of Palawan, there are lots of hotels, lodgings, inns everywhere. But let me suggest to you some of the best on where to stay:

1. Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Puerto Princesa
The only beachfront hotel in Puerto Princesa, nestled by the white-sand shores of Emerald Beach, Microtel is the best hotel for you if you're a beach bum like me. Plus it's is just 20 minutes away from the airport. Its location provides easy access to some famous tourist spots like Honda Bay and Underground River. The cozy rooms and serene surroundings will give peace and comfort, a perfect place to get away from the busy city life. (full review here)

2. Asturias Hotel Palawan
This hotel is one of the Citystate's hotels and located at the heart of Puerto Princesa City commercial district. It is only 10 minutes from the airport and in the mouth of South National Highway which made it very accessible by public transportation. But even though it is in the city proper, you're stay will be comfortable as it is distant from the noisy streets. The hotel provides a serene environment for those who don't want to be away from the city but want to enjoy a staycation. (full review here)

Have you heard of glamping? Here in Kota Spa, you will experience camping in a glam way. It is an artist village wherein you'll see artist's crafts everywhere and enjoy nature along with your stay. But it not opened yet, the grand opening will be on August 28, 2016. It is located in San Vicente, Palawan, it's quite far from the airport but worth it as it is an eco-haven for those who like art, organic stuff and supporting local things.
