Pandemic Diaries: Best Travel Netflix Series To Watch At Home

It's officially the start of the second quarter of the year -  April 1 AND it's also a sign that it's already summer! But lo and behold - it's ECQ 2.0 here in the Philippines.

Most getaways and travel plans have been postponed due to the pandemic.

Since our yearly holy week vacation is canceled, we are now stuck in our homes finding things to do to fill our boredom, maybe. I do like dreaming though - wishing that I'm in a tropical paradise somewhere, sipping my pina colada while watching the sunset. Oh, what a scene!

And of course, most of us love to binge-watch while we are staying in our homes.

If you are like me who enjoys traveling; tasting varieties of food; learning and immersing yourself in different cultures and people, you'll enjoy watching these Netflix series I have curated for you (in no particular order):

Since I love traveling, I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that having travel insurance is a must whenever and wherever you travel. Got no idea what to get? You might want to get the most comprehensive international travel health insurance here in the Philippines, the Malayan Insurance Travel Master.

From the lost passport, lost luggage, accidents abroad, third-party property damages — these are just some of the unforeseen but possible inconveniences and emergencies that can occur when traveling. They got you, thanks to their extensive network for worldwide emergency centers, you'll feel safe, insured.

These two are documentaries that explain different things from the history of fast food to explaining billionaires which would give you a glimpse of knowledge to understand such topics.

History 101

Infographics and archival footage deliver bite-size history lessons on scientific breakthroughs, social movements, and world-changing discoveries.

This enlightening series from Vox digs into a wide range of topics such as the rise of cryptocurrencies, why diet fails, and the wild world of K-pop.

I believe that having knowledge and having some background on things is essential if you're a traveler (and most importantly if you are a solo traveler like me.)

I find this rare opportunity -  the pandemic, to learn while binge-watching various series. It's called productivity! Such a wonderful way to waste time while entertaining myself at home and fight the boredom brought to you by a coronavirus. Tbh, I got a new list of places I must visit when I go back to the countries I have already visited that I've seen on the shows. And a whole new list of places to see, food to eat, and things to try. I must say, I really spent my time well this coronavirus pandemic. 😂
